My Career Path
Why I Became a Psychotherapist
I became a psychotherapist because I’ve always been interested in mental health and personal growth. Helping others has been a deep passion of mine.
My journey started with a simple question: Why are some people resilient in the face of challenges and able to cultivate fulfilling relationships, while others struggle to reach their full potential? This curiosity led me to choose this profession.
As a psychotherapist, I help people find their strengths and deal with life’s challenges. I provide a safe space for them to talk about their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Empathy is at the heart of my practice, and my goal is to empower people to enhance their lives.
Over the years, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of therapy. It’s truly beautiful being a witness to these evolutions, as people gain deeper insights into themselves, improve their relationships, and rediscover the joy of life.
After high school, I earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in psychology at the University of Bremen. Following my academic journey, I completed intensive training at the Institute for Psychotherapeutic Education and Training (IPAW) associated with the Hannover Medical School (MHH), specializing in psychodynamic therapy.
Today, I’m a psychodynamic therapist with a medical license and a wealth of experience. I’m running my own practice in the heart of Hannover’s city center.
